Fire & Traffic Accidents, 6/5/15, 9:39am

Multiple fires reported in a grassy area near the 26 Freeway and Todd Lane in Santa Paula not far from the K-Mart. Multiple Ventura County Fire and CHP units responded to handle.

The WB #2 lane was shut down with another closure conducted at the pedestrian overpass. VC Fire set up a 1/4 acre knockdown line to contain the fire.

At 10;26 am, the fires were reported out. There is still VC Fire and CHP activity in the area.

Be careful driving and follow all directions form emergency personnel. There has already been a traffic collision at Briggs, which is right before Todd Lane. A second collision was also reported at 11:00 am. CHP is bringing a sign board out to make an announcement.
